Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) gives priority to the students’ essentials and their well-being especially among current students who are studying in UPM. Hence, UPM also ensures that it provides an array of technology equipment and facilities in order to guarantee that the students’ welfare is well taken care of. Hence, Research Management Centre (RMC) is happy to assist the student in the research field.

    UPM has been using the virtual card as a new student identity identification for the 2018/2019 entry session to replace existing student card usage. Accordingly, the first year of the 2018/2019 session will use the Smartphone Application (for Android and iOS users) and WEB Desktop on the https: /putravid.upm.edu.my website known as Putra® Virtual ID (Putra®VID) for managing identification while interacting with all campus facilities such as ICT application access, use of infrastructure facilities, attendance, authentication of university students and so on.

'Instant hand sanitiser' bottles for UPM frontliners
SERDANG: The Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has produced an instant hand sanitiser product (50ml) and distributed it to UPM frontliners for their use. The product was distributed free of charge to the frontliners, UPM Teaching Hospital, University Health Centre, University Security Division, as well as 1,200 students who are still on campus. The first phase of production had produced 560 50ml bottles of hand sanitisers which were delivered to the University’s COVID19 Operations Room (OSHA) for distribution. The second phase will produce more than 2,000 50ml bottles of the product, which are expected to be ready later this week. This phase also includes the production of refillable 10L bottles to be distributed to the frontliners for hand sanitiser refills, while in the third phase, the group will provide surface sanitiser for university use.

Following the Government instruction on the implementation of the First Phase of the Restriction Movement Order (RMO) from March 18, 2020 to March 31, 2020 and followed by the Second Phase of RMO from April 1, 2020, to April 14, 2020 throughout the country, KPT and RMC hereby allowing 3 months automatic extension on all projects under Putra Grants (all initiatives) and KPT Grants projects that are effective March 17, 2020 and above.
