SERDANG, 19 May – The Research Management Centre (RMC) marked a proud achievement when three of its staff members received prestigious awards during the Majlis Gemilang Putra (MGP) 2026 held at the Grand Hall, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), today.

The ceremony, themed around service excellence and appreciation for the contributions of university staff, was attended by members of the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) community to celebrate the dedication of academic and administrative personnel who serve as the backbone of the university’s excellence.

The three RMC staff members who received awards in their respective categories were:

• Mr. Mohd Akram bin Mohd Yapandi (Senior Administrative Assistant N3) – recipient of the Putra Service Award in recognition of his unwavering dedication and valuable contributions to the university.
• Mdm. Yusnita Tugiran (Research Officer Q12) – recipient of the Loyal Putra Award for her loyalty and strong commitment in supporting the university’s research agenda.
• Mdm. Noor Adzilah Mohd Fua’ad (Administrative Assistant N1) – recipient of the Excellent Service Award (APC) 2025 for her outstanding work performance throughout her service period.

This recognition is in line with UPM’s vision of becoming a university with international reputation, while upholding the university’s Quality Policy that emphasises a culture of excellence in service delivery towards achieving the aspirations outlined in the university’s strategic plan.

The achievements of these three recipients are a source of pride for the entire RMC community and reflect the important role played by every level of staff at the Research Management Centre in ensuring that UPM’s research and innovation ecosystem continues to grow sustainably, progressively, and competitively.
