SERDANG, August 5 - Research Management Center (RMC) has participated in the Read @ Uni UPM 2019 reading corner competition for Office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) level.
The Reading Corner called the Cakna Ilmu is based on the motto “BERILMU BERBAKTI” so all staff must be aware of or use various information as a meal of mind in providing quality services especially in science. Cakna Ilmu corner contains several categories such as fiction and non-fiction books, research, inaugural, encyclopedia and more.
Representative of the RMC presented was Mr Zainal Bin Abdul Kadir, 5S coordinator and Ms Anis Farahanim Binti Abd. Rahman has given the book a casual, traditional-themed review, which was one of the highlights of the day's judging session.
In addition, Ms. Anis Farahanim also provide reviews of a book titled Keris Malay Peninsula. This book presents a discussion about the keris produced and used in the country or region inhabited by the Malays in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. There are some differences in the Peninsular Malay keris by region or country of the keris is produced.
The verdict of the reading competition was audited by a panel of judges, Pn. Salmah Binti Abdullah from the Sultan Abdul Samad Library, UPM and Pn. Noraihan Binti Noordin of the Faculty of Engineering. At the end of the reading, all the staff of the Research Management Center (RMC) took a picture together with the panel of judges to capture the memories.
