SERDANG, 11 September 2025 – The National Audit Department (NAD) conducted an audit on the Research, Development, Commercialisation and Innovation (R&D&C&I) programmes at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 11 September 2025.
The audit was carried out following feedback received from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in July and August this year.
The first session began with a briefing and presentation by UPM on R&D&C&I grants and funds received from various ministries and agencies. Updates on the follow-up actions related to the Auditor General’s Report (LKAN) 1/2025 concerning the Management of Fundamental Research Funds were also presented.
The session took place at the Seminar Room, Putra Science Park, attended by representatives from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Bursar’s Office, UPMCS, CiRNeT and UCTC. Deans, Institute Directors and Project Leaders joined the session online.
In the afternoon, the second session continued with physical site visits and document verification of selected projects involving MOSTI and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM).
UPM extended its full cooperation by providing all required documents and information throughout the audit process.
