On November 3, 2017, D.L.C. 3.0: Distinguished Lecture & Collaboration Series was held at Putra Auditorium, The Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). D.L.C. 3.0 ,which was the third series program organized by the Research and Knowledge Management Planning Division, Research Management Center (RMC), UPM, aims to provide exposure and encouragement to UPM researchers and expand research networking with other institutions

For this D.L.C. 3.0, the RMC has worked with the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) by focusing on science (chemistry) and life-long challenges as a researcher. Among the invited speakers were Prof. Omar M. Yaghi, Dr. Ha Lac Nguyen and Mr. Kyle Cordova. Prof. Omar is the recipient of the Mustafa Prize Laureate in 2016. All speakers have successfully granted inspiration to approximately 150 attendees.

The program is also a collaborative effort with the Faculty of Science, the Registrar's Office, the UPM Library (PSAS), the Graduate School of Studies (SGS), and the Institute of Advanced Study (ITMA).
