CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2022 MAHATHIR SCIENCE AWARD
The Mahathir Science Award Foundation (MSAF) is pleased to invite nominations for the 2022 Mahathir Science Award.
The Mahathir Science Award recognises the best contributions and innovations towards solving problems of the tropics through science and technology in four categories of tropical science, namely:
From among the four categories, two categories are contested yearly. Nominees can be individuals, groups of no more than three individuals, or organisations.
The selection of the award winner is based on the originality of the work, and its impact and significance in solving the problems of the tropics by improving the quality of life and contributing to the region’s prosperity.
The MSAF is pleased to announce that the Call for Nominations for the 2022 Mahathir Science Award is now open for the Tropical Medicine and Tropical Natural Resources categories.
The recipient of the 2022 Mahathir Science Award will receive a prize of USD100, 000, a gold medal and a certificate. In receiving the award, the winner will also cooperate with MSAF to promote the tropical sciences through engagement sessions.
The nominees will be assessed based on the materials provided by nominators and the details provided in the nomination form. It is essential that nominators complete the nomination form and send in all required documents on the checklist that can be found on the last page of the form. Self- nominations will not be accepted. The form and supporting documents should be sent by return via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Nomination submission closes on 1 March 2022.
We would like to invite qualified individuals from your institution to submit nominations for the Award. We hope to be able to recognize remarkable contributions through the Award to further promote advancement in the tropical sciences. For this to be achieved, we seek your kind cooperation to disseminate information on the Award to your network, furthering our reach to ensure that no contribution is overlooked.
