SERDANG, January 4 - Replacing Prof. Madya Dr. Azmawani who has been transferred to the Office of Corporate Strategy and Communications on September 15, 2018, Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bahri Hj Mohd Tamrin from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has been appointed the new Deputy Research Grant. His appointment is effective from 2 January 2019 to 1 January 2022 for a period of three (3) years.

Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bahri is a professor in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health, FPSK. His areas of research are in industrial hygiene or occupational ergonomics. He was awarded Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1997 and received Master of Medical Science (Public Health) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2002. He then went on to study Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Sciences at Mie University, Japan.

Everyone from RMC would like to congratulate Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bahri Hj Mohd Tamrin on his appointment as the new Deputy Director of Research Grant. It is hoped that this new partnership will continue to excellence of RMC and thus enhance the RMC's success in managing research at UPM especially in the area of ​​research grants. Through his experience and competencies, it can be a great help to enhance and diversify university’s funding sources to assist researchers at UPM.
