SERDANG, 11 June 2026 – In a concerted effort to translate the UPM Strategic Plan 2026–2030 into high-impact action, the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), through the Research Management Centre (RMC), successfully organized a forum titled “Knowledge . Innovation . Impact Towards Distinguished Researchers”.
The event, held at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, Level 3, TNCPI Office Building, serves as one of the core programmes driving the Bulan Sinergi Putra strategic initiative. This month-long initiative functions as a vital platform to strengthen, accelerate, and unify the university’s collective efforts in advancing UPM’s strategic agenda from the campus level to national and global impact.
The forum featured two prominent academic and research figures as panelists:
YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Ali Hassan (Panelist 1)
YBhg. Prof. Dr. Shamsuddin Jusop (Panelist 2)
During the three-hour session, which ran from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, both panelists shared their extensive experience, strategic insights, and future research directions crucial for grooming the next generation of distinguished researchers. The discussion deeply emphasized the importance of cultivating a research ecosystem centered on innovation and continuous transformation to enhance societal well-being.
The event concluded with a group photography session with the participants, comprising UPM officers, researchers, and staff members who remain steadfastly committed to upholding the university’s motto, "Berilmu Berbakti" (With Knowledge We Serve).
