Internal Audit of QMS ISO 9001:2015 Strengthens Governance and Service Quality at PTNCPI

SERDANG, 22 May – The Internal Audit for the Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015 involving the entity under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was successfully conducted from 20 to 22 May 2026.

The audit covered management, core services related to research and innovation, as well as support services, in line with continuous efforts to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and to enhance the efficiency and quality of service delivery.

Throughout the audit session, comprehensive reviews of documentation, operational records and work processes were carried out by the internal audit team led by Puan Arba’ah Md Salleh, Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Management Office, UPM.

The audit also provided an opportunity for staff members to evaluate the effectiveness of current work procedures, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen a culture of quality within the organisation.

The implementation of this internal audit reflects UPM’s ongoing commitment towards continuous quality improvement and excellence in governance, in line with the university’s aspiration to deliver impactful and high-quality services.
