PUTRAJAYA, June 12 – The Sports and Welfare Club of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) (TNCPI), Universiti Putra Malaysia, successfully organized the 2026 Bowling Muhibbah Tournament at U-Bowl, Alamanda, Putrajaya. The lively recreational event, which ran from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM, aimed to strengthen camaraderie and nurture a spirit of cooperation among the workforce under the TNCPI umbrella.

This year’s tournament saw an encouraging turnout, with enthusiastic participation from various key divisions and entities. Putting up a spirited competition were teams from the Innovation Research Division (BPI), Research Management Centre (RMC), University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), alongside the strong support of Putra Science Park (PSP). The active participation of representatives from each entity reflects the high commitment of UPM staff toward workplace wellness and achieving a healthy work-life balance.

The bowling center came alive with excitement as participants, sporting their official blue corporate jerseys, showcased their skills on the lanes. Cheers from supporters and the echoing crash of falling bowling pins fueled each team's determination to crush the pins and clinch the championship title. However, behind the competitive edge, the spirit of 'Muhibbah' (goodwill) remained the core focus, with officers from different divisions freely mingling, networking, and cheering one another on.

According to a representative from the TNCPI Office Sports and Welfare Club, programs like this serve as an excellent platform to break down daily bureaucratic barriers and build a more dynamic, inclusive, and "One Team" oriented workforce. Such casual sporting activities have proven effective in rejuvenating staff morale before they return to their core duties of driving the nation's research and innovation excellence, perfectly embodying UPM’s motto, "With Knowledge We Serve."

The tournament concluded with a prize-giving ceremony for the top individual and team categories, followed by a group photo session to capture the memorable day. Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback, many TNCPI Office staff expressed their hope that this muhibbah sports event will be sustained as an annual tradition in the years to come.
