SETAPAK, 22 April - A demonstration for Smart Drive-Thru Takeaway (SDT) was held by a group of researchers from Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia, with a collaboration partner, Me’nate Restaurant at Starpac Point, Setapak. The IoT project demonstration was a success.
SDT is a smart drive through take away for the online food ordering. This project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shaiful Jahari Hashim, and the team members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Rahman Al-Haddad, Dr. Noor 'Ain Kamsani, Dr. Fakhrul Zaman Rokhani, Dr. Maryam Mohd Isa and Dr. Nurul Adilah Abdul Latiff. Before the demonstration, presentation and briefing on the SDT project demonstration were held in the first place. Then, live SDT system for Me'nate food takeaway delivery was demonstrated to the attendees. Apart from the researchers and partner, representative from Research Management Centre, UPM, and Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) also attended the demonstration.
The project aims to design, develop and evaluate the semiconductor-based passive ID for security and services with energy harvesting capability. The advantage of using this passive ID is it doesn't need conservative or battery power consumption. It also can support longer range identification feature with flexible reading capability even for moving vehicle. This is an innovative system for you to enjoy your steak in a smooth and seamless ordering system.
