SERDANG, July 3 - Research Management Center (RMC) was honored to receive a visit from seven representatives of Sebha University, Libya, led by the university Vice President, Mohamed Erhayem. The visitors arrived at the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) at 9 am and were invited to the Management Meeting Room on the 5th floor.
Their initial visit to RMC was to explore the opportunity of a closer collaborative effort in the area of research, especially in science and technology. Their arrival was greeted by three officers and the Director of RMC himself, Mohammad Hamiruce Marhaban. The Director of RMC presented a brief overview of the research structure at UPM as well as UPM's achievements in publications, researchs, innovations, awards and others.
The 2 hours meeting ensued with discussions about collaboration opportunities in research than can be agreed upon between the two universities including sharing of available research facilities as well as collaborative research by field experts amongst the professors of the two universities.
The outcome of the meeting that took place has paved the way to a preliminary foundation for both universities to foster a stronger relationship in the future. RMC also took the opportunity to introduce the research and innovation in UPM by giving Synthesis, a research magazine published by RMC as the souvenir to the Vice President of Sebha University.
